Brew for the Crew
We are proud to continue our support of the North West Air Ambulance Charity and its annual ‘Brew for the Crew’ fundraising campaign.
The crew of highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics, work 365 days of the year to provide emergency pre-hospital care to thousands of patients each year covering 5,500 square miles and over 8 million people.
The organisation is a registered charity, is not part of the NHS and doesn’t receive any government funding. It relies completely on public and corporate donations to carry on saving lives.
The charity must raise over £12 million every year to continue its lifesaving service which seems an incredible feat and that’s before they get off the ground to save lives all over the region.
The ‘brew for the crew’ encourages the local community to get together and put the kettle on to raise money over a cuppa. We have delivered 10,000 Lancashire Tea tea bags to the charity to send out to people who register for an event on its website.
We’ve also delivered enough tea to the crew to keep them hydrated and ready for the next call out, which can be up to seven times every day.
